MCO is the main hub. Sanford can be cheaper, but often adds 45-55 minutes to transfers.

Book Your Orlando Trip
Compare flights, hotels, and ticketed experiences without losing the practical planning context: airport tradeoffs, neighborhood fit, local transport, and seasonal price spikes.

Disney and Universal tickets are date-priced, so book earlier for busy school-break weeks.
On-site hotels save park time; International Drive is usually better value for shorter trips.

Frequently Asked Questions
January–February (post-holidays) and September–early November are the lowest-demand periods for both flights and park prices. Orlando International (MCO) is one of the most competitive air markets in Florida — Southwest, Frontier, and Spirit frequently run sub-$100 one-way fares from many US cities.
Orlando International (MCO) is the main airport, 20 minutes from Disney World via the 417 toll road. Sanford Airport (SFB) is 45 minutes north and served by a few low-cost carriers — useful only if the fare difference is significant. MCO has the best car rental options and is closest to most attractions.
Almost certainly yes if you're visiting multiple theme parks. Disney's Magical Express no longer runs, so you'll need a car or paid shuttle from the airport. Uber/Lyft works but adds up quickly across a week. If staying exclusively on Disney property and visiting only Disney parks, the free Disney bus network can substitute.
Book 4–6 weeks ahead for Disney and Universal — both sell out peak dates for park passes. Disney requires both a ticket and a timed park reservation. Universal is more flexible but Express Passes sell out quickly. SeaWorld and LEGOLAND rarely sell out and often offer last-minute discounts.
Off-Disney-property hotels on US-192 near Kissimmee cost 50–70% less than Disney resorts. Good chain options include Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn. If staying off-property near Universal, look for I-Drive hotels — many offer free shuttle service to the park gates.
Budget for: park parking ($30–$45/day at Disney/Universal), Disney's Genie+ and Lightning Lane ($20–$50/person/day), meals inside parks ($15–$25 per person per meal), and sunscreen (bring your own — bottles cost $15+ inside parks). Resort fees apply at some I-Drive hotels even when not listed upfront.
